World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment.
World Environment Day also known as Eco Day, Environment Day, WED (world environment day).
World Environment Day is held each year on June 5. It is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations (UN) stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action. World Environment Day promotes ways to improve the Earth's environment, such as conserving forests.
People celebrate World Environment Day (WED) in many different ways all over the world: planting trees, cleaning up local beaches, organising meetings, joining online protests. Each year the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) chooses a particular issue to focus on.
The theme for 2021 World Environment Day is Ecosystem Restoration. In 2021, Pakistan will play a global host of World Environment Day. The event will see the launch of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
